While going through some old files I ran across this photo of The Great Sphinx that I took some years ago in Cairo, Egypt. And a Greek Mythology riddle about the Sphinx.
The Sphinx sat outside of Thebes and asked this riddle of all travelers who passed by. If the traveler failed to solve the riddle, then the Sphins killed the traveler and if the traveler answered the riddle correctly, then the Sphinx would destroy its self. Can you answer the riddle?
What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon and on three legs in the evening

We found Cairo & Egypt a very interesting place to visit too bad with what is going on there now
I wouldn't go there now so glad that we made it way back in 1979. a lot to see and do in Egypt just not safe to go now
These few photos are taken at a Papyrus Paper Factory they just made a little Papurus for the tourest
I was a little younger back when this was taken out front

This man is demonstrating the making of papyrus paper its an interesting process. The thin strips are placed side by side overlapping slighty a second set of strips are placed at right angles to the first also overlapping slighty its left under a heavy wight to press it while drying the remaining sugar in the papyrus seals the strip together after drying the papyrus is polished to a smooth finish by rubbing it with a shell or smooth piece of jvory

I've always wanted to see the pyramids,,,,,but it probably won't happen. But I WAS fortunate enough to live in Turkey with some of that history. Egypt has always been a mystery to the world. It's so fortunate that you and Sandra got to see it, Bill.

I already knew the answer to your riddle, but I've known that one for years. It was used once for a Mensa question. Don't get me wrong, I am no where near Mensa material, but I do enjoy reading their little riddles and trying to figure them out.

I say let a few more try to guess it first... That's why those of us who already knew aren't giving it away.

Bill, I know the answer too but will go ahead and put it down so you don't have to. Sorry if anyone still was trying to figure it out.
    The answer is "a man"
in the beginning of his life (morning) he crawls on all four
In the middle of his life (noon) he walks upright on two legs and
in the evening of his old age (evening) he uses a cane to be able to walk.
