I can agree on the necessity of WIFI,,,,Carol and I have a 4G hotspot from Sprint that we pay $49 a month for and we get 6 gigs of downloads which is more than sufficient,,,,and we do our banking also at Wells Fargo on line,,,,Since we've become full timers last summer, we've pretty well stopped all snail mail and do ALL of our business on line. God bless WIFI. I understand the laundry thing...we spend about $5 to $60 a month....we're looking forward to our summer job in Oregon from May to October where we'll get free WIFI, cable, FHU, and laundry for 20 hours total a week. Bottom line??? As long as we're near our families, right? I hope you got to see Dead Horse State Park while you were in Moab?

Hi Grandpa Jim & Mel I have been following this for a few days Berry Springs sounds nice so went on their web site after looking at the photos an location will have to put it on my to do list. They are a Passport America member as well as Good Sam they list their Monthly rate as $295 so guess they have went up $10. daily at $28 with 50% off Passport America & 10% off Good Sam for the 1st night would be a good stop for just a night or two if in the area and the free laundry makes it even better.
Well Jim are you & Carol ready for your summer job in oregon? Bet you are I would be. Did you say you would be leaving in May? Hope you-all have a safe and enjoyable trip to Oregon an the summer job is all that you are expecting sounds like you will recive a lot for the 20 hours Post lots of photos on the way and of Oregon. I went thru you album, Mel....and WOW....you must have been standing next to me. I didn't see any pix of Landscape Arch tho...did you see that one? I couldn't believe it's as long as a football field and still up there. The ranger said it'll collapse within the next 50 years. I saw the video when it partially broke off back in the 90's. Exciting,,,,I'm just glad I wasn't under it. We stayed at the OST RV park just south of Moab when we were there,,,,nice folks.
I have that Passport America too, Bill....we had the Campclub USA and then it merged with Passport America,,,so we have the best of both worlds. Yes, Bill, we'll be leaving the first week of May for Oregon after Carol has her three month cancer check. Then she'll be on 6 month check ups....and that works out well since that'll be November for her next check,,,and the contract at Gold Beach, Oregon is until mid October. It'll be hard coming back to Texas after spending the summer up there.....but our daughters all said to do what we want as long as we're back for Thanksgiving. Thursday the 23rd of February is going to be 120 days here at Jim Hogg and that means we've got to leave for 28 days....so we're going over to Granger Lake near Taylor for a few weeks....then come back here to Georgetown until we head north. We have Sprint hotspot, so we'll even be able to email while driving down the road. We'll stay in touch. We're really excited about spending the summer in that area, since we only had a week or so in the fall of 2009 to see the Redwood Forest, Crater Lake, the coastline, etc.
